Welcome to Plum Creek, a new neighborhood being built on an old model.  We’ve captured the best features of the neighborhoods and architecture of old Austin and incorporated them into the Plum Creek of today.  Front porches, mailboxes, parks, shops, and schools that you can safely walk to.  In Plum Creek, the sidewalks go places, and we think you’ll find leaving the car at home liberating. 

 


Plum Creek History

 

In 1999, home construction started on a new kind of neighborhood in Kyle.  Located 20 minutes south of downtown Austin, just west of IH 35 and north of downtown Kyle, Plum Creek is the embodiment of the traditional neighborhood with front porches, alleys, and narrow tree-lined streets. So far, over 1,600 families have decided to call Plum Creek home.  Plum Creek is an affordable, master planned, mixed-use community with on-site schools, an 18-hole golf course, 30-acre stocked fishing lake, two community swimming pools, numerous parks with playscapes and miles of hike and bike trails.  All designed to create an atmosphere that encourages residents to be a part of a vibrant community.

Quality of life is the essence of Plum Creek.  We offer homes from the $150’s to the $300’s, ranging from 2 to 6 bedrooms.  In addition to the hand-built feel of each home, the community is designed with a native landscape package that enhances the natural beauty and value of each home-site, while saving water and labor for the owner.  All homes have incorporated front porches, traditional color schemes, and rear or detached garages that lead into back alleyways.  Sidewalks, private mailboxes, and street trees give each block a safe, small town look that is maturing gracefully and beautifully, making for a welcoming and appealing street scene.

 

It takes forethought and planning to craft this type of development.  One key component to the neighborhood’s look and feel is the absence of utility lines and garage dominated architecture.  We’ve buried the utilities and placed them out of sight in the alleyways that serve a majority of our neighborhoods.  We have also established an active Home Owner’s Association that provides residents with guidelines that will insure that the high standards implemented at Plum Creek will continue far into the future.
